Reference number or identification number as defined for a particular Transaction Set, or as specified by the Reference Number Qualifier.
Prefix or alphabetic part of an equipment unit's identifying number.
NA03 will contain the equipment initial of an associated shipment and is required by Rail. If unknown, use NONZ for van or NONU for container.
Sequencing or serial part of an equipment unit's identifying number (pure numeric form for equipment number is preferred).
NA04 will contain the equipment number of an associated shipment
Code defining relationship of equipment to equipment cross-referenced.
Relative position of shipment in car, trailer, or container (mutually defined).
Code used by sender of transaction set identifying equipment owner. (The SCAC is used to indicate a carrier owner.)
NA07 is the owner's SCAC code.
Length (in feet and inches) of equipment ordered or used to transport shipment. (The format is FFFII where FFF is feet and II is inches. The range for II is 00 through 11.)
Standard Carrier Alpha Code
NA09 is the controller's SCAC code.
Code identifying type of chassis.
