This Draft Standard for Trial Use contains the format and establishes the data contents of the Component Parts Content Transaction Set (871) for use within the context of an Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) environment. This transaction set provides the ability to report the non-domestic contents of a product, or component part contained within a product, in accordance with governmental regulations.
