This Draft Standard for Trial Use contains the format and establishes the data contents of the Railroad Parameter Trace Registration Transaction Set (455) for use within the context of an Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) environment. The transaction set can be used by a freight carrier to: (1) request the establishment of a set of parameters used to select movement activity from a central data store over time; (2) request information about past activities within a date range that meets a set of parameters; and (3) request the establishment of a set of parameters for subsequent use on demand.
