X12I Transportation Subcommittee

This Draft Standard for Trial Use contains the format and establishes the data contents of the Rail Industrial Switch List Transaction Set (423) for use within the context of an Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) environment. The transaction set is intended solely for producing switch lists and equipment notifications. It is not for recording release times and the ordering of empty equipment. It is also to provide switching information agreed to between customer and carrier to show car identity, placement, pull and destination information.
