This Draft Standard for Trial Use contains the format and establishes the data contents of the Individual Life, Annuity and Disability Application Transaction Set (267) for use within the context of an Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) environment. The transaction set is used to transmit new business application information among distributors (agents, broker/dealers, etc.), insurance companies and reinsurance companies for the purpose of underwriting an individual life, annuity or disability contract.
