Code specifying the packaging form of the lading quantity
AT207 is the packaging form of the units contained on pallets, skids, or slip sheets.
Code indicating a Yes or No condition or response
AT208 indicates if the carrier is required to verify the number of cartons on the pallet, slip sheet, or skid. A "Y" indicates that the carrier is required to verify the number of cartons. An "N" indicates that the carrier is not required to verify the number of cartons. If AT208 is not present in the segment a code of "N" is assumed.
Code describing a commodity or group of commodities
AT209 is the National Motor Freight Classification Number.
Code indicating generalized classification that applies to one or more items in the shipment, i.e., class 70, 77.5, etc.
Code indicating a Yes or No condition or response
AT211 is used to indicate a master handling unit line item. A "Y" indicates the line item is a master handling unit describing lading quantity, packaging form code, and weight. The commodity code, freight class, and weight would be contained in additional line items. An "N" indicates that the line is a sub line item of a master handling unit line item. Lading quantity and package type are not used for sub line items. AT211 is used only when describing master handling unit and sub line items.
